Chris Hemsworth Cast to Play Thor in the Upcoming Marvel Movie

It appears that 25-year old Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is all set to play Thor in the upcoming movie from Marvel as well as in the Avengers. This writer was skeptical at first but after reading up on some of the previous work and looking at the guy's appearance everything seems in order. It's interesting to ponder about what made the people at Marvel make this decision. Now I just wonder who they will cast for the other roles? I know that Josh Hartnett is being rumored for the role of Loki.

Chris Hemsworth is 6'3 so he should give enough of a size difference in comparison to Robert Downey Jr. and the other characters in the Avengers movie. I don't think that Thor will be nearly as successful as Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk but it will be worth a look all the same.

I'm thinking about how they will make this more true to life than in the comics. I cannot wait to see how Asgard is gonna look in this movie because you know it's gonna be awesome. Hopefully we get to see some very good battle scenes between the warriors of Asgard led by Thor against some of Loki's armies of demons and giants. I would love to see a brief Thor vs Hulk fight scene in the Avengers movie at some point as well.

What does everyone think of this casting? Keep your eyes open because now they should start rolling out other roles such as Loki and Odin.

During a recent press junket for April 24th’s “The Soloist,” actor Robert Downey Jr. confirmed with MTV News what comics fans had long been expecting: Tony Stark will indeed have two lovely ladies vying for his attention in “Iron Man 2”.

Of course, Gwenyth Paltrow is set to return as assistant/love interest Pepper Potts, but the sequel will also see the addition of Scarlett Johansson as Russian agent Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow.

When asked whether he’d be 1/3 of a love triangle in the film, Downey told MTV News, “Heck yeah, Wouldn’t you?”

It's still not clear which version of Black Widow will feature in Iron Man 2. The original version was a Russian spy who, after defecting, ended up joining the Avengers
. In Marvel’s Ultimate universe, however, the Black Widow nearly married Tony Stark before revealing herself as a traitor.

I think the most likely outcome is that they will mix the 2 versions up..as they are reportedly doing with 2 different characters for Mickey Rourkes as yet unnamed villain(some say Dynamo some say Whiplash).

Comics Fans Get Ready for Deadpool

With the Wolverine movie set to come out I figured now is the time to introduce everyone to the character Deadpool if they don't already know about the character. Its very likely that he is gonna get his own movie if the fans respond well to the character. Ryan Reynolds has been cast as
the ninja assassin and I believe he will give the character that dark sense of humor and mystery that makes the character so great.

Before becoming Deadpool the name was Wade Wilson. As the case with so many troubled youths he was the project of a broken single-parent home. At the age of seventeen his father was killed by some of his troubled friends. It wasn't long afterwards that he dropped out of school and found himself in the army. After problems came up he was kicked out of the army and went to work as a mercenary. It was around this time that fortune turned for the worse as Wade found out he had terminal cancer.
